| Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities for this position include: Design/develop high precision dimensional measurement equipment and systems from concept through final test and documentation to satisfy production and customer requirements. Interface with component fabrication, gage setup and assembly personnel to identify and solve measurement issues. Review customer orders and generate/develop gage tooling as required. Provide technical support/expertise on a wide range of production metrology issues. Assist in the support, maintenance and repair of measurement equipment. Other duties as assigned or directed. Job Requirements Strong mathematical, analytical and communication skills. CAD experience, Solidworks strongly preferred. Proven track record in the development of high precision dimensional measurement equipment strongly preferred, especially as related to production environments. Experience/background in CMM technology strongly preferred. Familiarity with FFT analysis, roundness, surface texture, form measurement and geometric dimensioning/tolerancing a plus. Experience with electromechanical controls and user interfaces a plus. Successful candidate will exhibit initiative, creativity, flexibility and strong problem solving skills. Small multi-tasking collaborative team environment. Education Requirements Qualified candidates will hold a BSME, with 3-5 years of experience in the areas of precision engineering and/or metrology.
