Software Engineer- Embedded Systems As a member of new product development teams, will be responsible for the design, implementation, documentation, integration and verification of algorithms and modules for real time embedded microcontroller and DSP based products. Duties will include but are not limited to developing software, mostly in C, for 8051, ARM and DSP embedded platforms, developing software for product verification testing, porting LabView software, developing detailed design specifications, leading and participating in software and product design reviews. Qualified candidate will be expert in the use of S/W tools: compilers/linkers, debuggers, in-circuit emulators, JTAG emulators, bug tracking systems, source code control/build systems, capable in the use of lab test equipment, good h/w-s/w integration, debugging skills and a team player. BSEE required plus 3-5 years hands-on SW design for embedded products. Experience with ARM, 8051 processors, porting LabView software to embedded processors, DSP-based signal processing and background math, safety-critical software design, instrumentation, common industrial communication protocols, RS485, Modbus, Backnet, Ethernet, CANBus, SCADA, a plus.
